A new future for Gaza begins with education.

The Education for Peace Foundation is a non-political, international initiative working to build a thriving education system in Gaza. We are beginning with a first set of pilot schools that will grow into 522 schools serving 500,000 children.
Our goal is simple: to give every child a safe place to learn, to grow, and to build hope for the future.
(The Foundation is currently in formation, and this website is being built up as the programme evolves.)
Why Now?
Gaza’s children face loss, disruption, and uncertainty. Education for Peace is a response to this urgent need - offering structure, safety, and a chance for the next generation to grow up differently.

We believe education is the most powerful tool to break cycles of violence and offer a path to stability.

Our Phased Approach

We are building this education system with care and purpose - one phase at a time. Each step is designed to strengthen trust, ensure quality, and lay the groundwork for long-term stability.
Phase 1
Laying the Groundwork (0-6 months)
Our first priority is to establish a strong foundation. This means assembling expert teams, designing a world-class curriculum, and working closely with local leaders and international partners.
We are also putting in place the highest levels of governance and safeguarding - so that every future school rests on solid ground.
Phase 2
Launching the First Schools (6-24 months)
We will open a small number of pilot schools - centres of excellence that demonstrate what’s possible.
These first schools allow us to refine our approach, train local teachers, and gather real-world feedback from students, families, and communities.
It is here that the vision begins to take root - visibly, credibly, and in partnership with those we serve.
Phase 3
Building the Full System (2-5 years)
Once the model is proven, we will expand across Gaza - establishing 522 schools that provide safe, high-quality education for 500,000 children.
Each school will be part of a connected, inclusive, and resilient system - grounded in local leadership and guided by global standards.
Together, they will offer not only learning, but stability, opportunity, and hope for a new generation.
A Global Coalition
The Education for Peace Foundation works with global and regional leaders who share a commitment to rebuilding education and creating opportunities for children in Gaza and beyond.
